Taste: Recipe Keeper & Manager app for iPhone and iPad

Every feature is thought out from the ground up and is carefully crafted to take the organization of your collection to a new level. ► Recipe Book
The expandable and collapsible outline view gives you a quick overview of the entire recipe collection on just one page. Recipe categories can be nested, similar to folders in a file manager.
• Recipe Overview: Horizontally scrollable recipe lists with two different display modes, sortable by name or date, persistent expansion states
• Simple management: Recipes and categories can be moved via drag and drop, quick access through context menus

► Recipe View
For a comprehensive overview of the numerous pieces of information in a recipe, subpages are available for general information, ingredients, and preparation.
• Broad content support: Groups for ingredients and preparation steps, categorized recipe times, notes, unlimited recipe photos
• Recipe scaling: Automatic step size, consideration of the quantities also in the preparation steps
• Editing mode: Elegant in-place editing to maintain focus

► Web import
Taste offers the option to import recipes from the internet, either through its own browser or via the Share Sheet. Success and the quality of the import depend on the source, but many difficult cases can also be imported.
• In-app browser: Standard functions for navigation, paste button for quickly inserting links from the pasteboard
• Quick preview: When a recipe is detected, a summarizing preview appears immediately
• Intelligent capture: Adoption of ingredient and preparation groups, extraction of recipe yield and all available recipe times

► Search
The recipe search scans all recipe texts for the search terms, prioritizes the results so that they can then be displayed sorted by relevance.
• Search term combinations: Allows input of multiple ingredients
• Transparent behavior: Search hits are highlighted in color
• Spotlight support: Also finds recipes in the system search

► Share and Print
Recipes can be conveniently converted into a clear PDF format. The output file can be shared or printed as needed.

► Offline availability
All recipes are stored locally and can therefore be accessed at any time, regardless of the status of your network connection. Recipe changes are persisted immediately and are not lost.

► Automatic synchronization
Created categories, tags and recipes are backed up and synchronized via your private iCloud container. Synchronization requires an active internet connection and being logged into your iCloud account.


■ Foresight

Taste is subject to an ongoing development process. Existing features are to be improved and many more are being planned. The aim for each is to set a new standard of quality. Dont hesitate to let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements or feature requests.


■ Subscription

All features of the app are fully accessible to provide a complete testing experience. Excluding the showcase recipes, there is a limit of 10 usable recipes, which can be lifted through a Taste subscription.
